Kanishka Garg is an upcoming, young and talented actress who appears in Hindi television serials and ad commercials. Kanishka originally belongs from Delhi from a Punjabi family with Army background. Kanishka was born in Chandigarh and grew up in Chandigarh and Delhi and also did and completed her education from both of these cities. Since her school days, Kanishka was very much active in various extra-curricular activities such as dancing and theatre acting. And during her college days, she did a short course of modelling and also shot an initial portfolio. She also thought of joining National School of Drama but later dropped that idea as various modelling offers started coming in and she eventually decided to concentrate on her modelling career and eventually shifted her base to Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She featured in quite a few ad commercials and also featured in many print ads of various brands of repute. After doing modeling for a while, Kanishka decided to pursue her acting career and started auditioning for various Hindi serials and finally bagged an important role in colors TV’s hit and popular crime thriller and a tele serial on social awareness Humne Li Hai Shapath. The show was of a crime thriller format with a strong social message and Kanishka was cast in the role of Pooja- who is a sub-inspector in Mumbai Police’s crime branch. Her character in the serial became popular and her acting was also much appreciated but due to some unknown reason Kanishka’s character in the serial was terminated for unknown reasons and she had to leave the show.
