Her most noted works were in the series Firangi Bahu on Sahara One which scaled the highest TRP for the channel and in Krishnaben Khakhrawala. Krishnaben Khakhrawal was enjoyed by the general public, even praised for its positive message in a speech by Narendra Damodardas Modi, then-Chief Minister of Gujarat. The series was centered around a strong, outspoken and humorous Gujarati widow trying to bring up her children without a father at the same time managing a khakhra-selling business from home. The character of Krishnaben was particularly lauded along with the positive moral of the show. After the end of Krishnaben Khakhrawala, she didn’t find the roles offered to her appealing, which made her decide she needed to keep herself occupied. So, she began to follow a stringent regimen - going to the gym, walking, doing yoga and solely eating food made at home. All of this paid off because she lost almost 11 kilos in just a couple of months. She was then rewarded with the offer of a solid role and guaranteed entrance to Bollywood with Hindi film “Pistol”. Indira was born on the 1st of March and is a family woman, being married to Rajesh Ranshinge who is a director. They have a son called Anirudh. Indira likes shopping.
