Hemangi Kavi is a celebrated artist in the Marathi film industry with her natural acting. Hemangi was born on August 26, 1988, and brought up in Kalwa in Thane. The Mumbai girl attended Sahakar Vidhya Prasarak Mandal School in Kalwa and completed her graduation from JJ School of Arts, specializing in Fine Arts. After her graduation, she completed the Java and Web Designing course and went on to work on a regular 9 to 5 job. But destiny had other plans. Soon after, she lost interest in her routine and realized that acting was her true calling. So Hemangi quit her job and turned her concentration towards acting.
She started her journey with theatre dramas and made her first screen presence in the drama Shame to Shame. Following the success of the play, she got the chance to work in the drama

. The play garnered her huge appreciation and fetched her offer for Television serials. The actress gained immense popularity with her stint in the series Maddam Sasu Dhaddam Sun in Mi Marathi. Hemangi’s popularity continued to rise after her performance series Fu Bai Fu. With just two shows, Hemangi Kavi became the most sought after actress in Marathi Industry.
After ruling the small screen with her terrific performance, she graced the big screen by making her debut in the Marathi film Rangee Berangee in 2008. Her next movie Dhudgas got released in the same year, making it an eventful year. Ever since she has been a prominent actor and has done praiseworthy roles. Over the years, her filmography includes Manatlya Manat, Kon Aahe Re Tikade, Paradh, Davpech, Pangira, Pipaani, and Dharmantar. Adding another feather to her hat, Hemangi was awarded Sakalpapurti Puraskar in 2010 and Swami Vivekanand Puraskar in 2011.
