Charu is currently portraying a Cadet Roma role in an Indian long running soap opera Diya Aur Baati Hum and as Sneha in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai premiered on Star Plus.

"Charu Rohatgi" is an accomplished Indian television and movie actress. She has acted in many movies and serials and her latest movie role were in the successful Indian movie ‘Ishaqzaade’. She was raised in Calcutta, where she acted in some plays. This was where she was introduced to acting. As the daughter of a rich businessman, she did not have to worry about money. She also played the role of Parineeti Chopra’s mother in Ishaqzaade, after which she appeared in the Zee TV show, ‘Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dor Se’ as Dai Maa. In the show, she played the role of the female lead’s caretaker. She was last seen as Barun Sobti's Nani (maternal grandmother) in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3. Apart from 'Ishaqzaade', Charu Rohatgi has done films like '15 Park Avenue', 'Second Marriage Dot Com' and '1920 London'. She had also worked in TV shows like 'Pratigya', 'Uttaran' and 'Trideviyaan'. Her role in Uttaran portrayed her fine acting skills yet again. She has been praised for her acting skills.
