Vijay Arora (Born: 27th Dec 1944) was a prominent Indian film and Television series actor. He is famous for his role in the film ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’. However, he was most recognized for his act as ‘Indrajit’ in the TV serial ‘Ramayan.' Mr. Arora was a gold medalist in his academic career. He graduated from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India in the year 1971. He also played Prince Salim and Emperor Jahangir in Shyam Benegal’s ‘ Bharat Ek Khoj Bharat Ek Khoj is a historical based Indian drama >> Read More... ’, another successful TV series. He worked in numerous Hindi and Gujarati plays. Arora acted in over a hundred films and five hundred TV series episodes. He owned a production house that produced ad films and TV commercials. He produced an award-winning children’s TV serial named ‘Ek Tara Bole’. He was the pioneer in producing ISO 9000 popular ad films in India. In addition to his various business ventures, he was a well-known philanthropist. He enjoyed helping students develop their skill in acting and other forms of art.
Arora was very fond of Yoga, health and fitness activities. Mr. Arora and his wife former Miss India Dilber Debara have a son named Farhad Vijay Arora. He suffered stomach illness in his last days and died on 2nd February 2007 in his own residence.
