Syed comes from a family with humble beginnings. When he turned eight, his parents parted their ways, and he chose to live with his mother. He is not a very educated person as he had to quit school because of the unaffordable education. Her mother was the only earning member of the house and hence Syed had to quit studies. He then started doing petty jobs to help his mother with money. Syed took all kind of small jobs including the job of a driver to support his family and earn a livelihood. Syed has studied till 10th standard only and had no training in acting whatsoever.

He grew up watching Umar Shareef’s videos and tried imitating him a lot. He used to imitate comedian, Umar Shareef on various occasions such as Independence Day Click to look into! >> Read More... and Republic Day celebrations in school. He received a lot of appreciation in school because of his imitating skills and hence decided to try his hands at acting. Syed had desires of becoming an actor since childhood days. But he couldn’t attend any acting workshops or classes because of his financial condition. Syed then came to know about India’s Best Cine Stars Ki Khoj and decided to try his luck there.

According to Syed, his first few performances on the show were terrible and he thought that he would get eliminated. He soon became conscious that his family’s future is in his hands. Syed then started performing like a star and not only secured a place in the top 5 but also won the show. Syed impressed everyone with his natural acting skills and versatility.

Syed never thought he would win the trophy. He received the cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a gift voucher from Cera Tiles of Rs. 1, 00,000.
