Rupesh Kataria is a popular actor in the arena of television who mostly known for his portrayal of slightly negative shaded characters in various hit and popular Hindi television serials mainly produced under the banner of Ekta Kapoor’s production house Balaji Telefilms. Rupesh hails from an affluent business family and is born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and India. During his college days, Rupesh got interested in modelling and decided to try hands in it. Soon through some contacts he landed up with few meaty modelling projects some of which were of some fairly reputed and popular brands. It was during his modelling days he was noticed by the Balaji Telefilms and was called for an audition. After undergoing through various audition and grooming sessions, he was offered the role in one of Balaji’s serials. He was offered the role of Romit in the production house’s new venture NDTV Imagine’s Kitni Mohabbat Hai -2. He was liked by the audiences for his role in the serial. Meanwhile, Rupesh was also seen appearing in Channel V’S friend flick Humse Hai life where he essayed the character of , who is a carefree spoiled brat and doesn't care for the value of money. Currently, Rupesh Kataria is being seen playing a pivotal role in Balaji’s big project Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh which is being aired on Life OK channel. Rupesh recently hit the page 3 headline with a controversy as the production house decided to deduct his salary for reportedly for not being punctual on the sets of Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh which also features some of the heavyweight actors and actress of the industry like , and Apoorva Agnihotri.
