Born and bred in a typical Marathi family in Mumbai he started his acting career at a very early age of seven. He did his first ad shoot on his birthday and from there he never looked back.

One can see his growth through the serials he has done so far in the Television. His face was very cute back then and very much akin to a naughty child. Prabhat Bhattacharya is an Indian television & film actor, who is best known for his roles in serials such as ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’(2000), ‘Kasturi’(2007) & ‘Pavitra Rishta’(2009). Prabhat came down to Mumbai to pursue a martial art class, but after coming in touch with theatre and television, he decided to stay in the tinsel town for a while. He got the opportunity to work in ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’(2000), which was produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. He got a wide praise for his role in the serial and it made his path clear. He did a serial called ‘Kasturi’ with the same production house. ‘Kasturi’ was a story of a girl who struggles to save her family and its name. He was also seen playing a wide variety of characters containing shades of almost all kinds in serials such as, ‘Pavitra Rishta’, ‘Savdhaan India- India Fights back’ & ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’. In ‘Pavitra Rishta’, he was seen playing the role of Ajit Lokhande, who is a negative character in the serial. He left the show in between due to some problems but was able to get his share of attention from the viewers. He was also seen in the serial called ‘Doli Saja Ke’ in which he played the role of Inderjit Shekhawat, who is Chaitanya’s brother in the serial. He has no formal training as an actor, but he has placed himself as a method actor. He is a great fan of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and wants to keep him as his inspiration. He lives and works in Mumbai.
