Indresh Malik

Born in Delhi, Indresh Malik completed his studies at Kirori Mal College. He had always yearned to act and even attempted to focus on theatre work after college, but his father forced the family business’s management on him. Indresh has worked in the following TV serials - 12/24 Karol Bagh (Zee TV) as Rajiv Bhalla, which he reprised in the Zee TV series Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi as well; Haar Jeet (Imagine TV) as Anika; I Luv My India (SAB TV) as Rajendhra Sethi. He has predominantly played negative roles though his most recent role in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon (Colors) as the gay character Bittu ji - who was largely involved in helping the main characters - was one of the few positive people on the show. Although Indresh likes to play diverse roles, be it positive or negative, he is sure he will never get the opportunity to play the lead role due to the need for stereotypical “good-looking” men in entertainment. The upbeat man had a chance meeting at a young age with Leena, the daughter of one of his father’s friends; the two liked each other immediately, leading to their marriage when he was 21 years old. They have 2 sons together, Kush and Kabir. Since Indresh’s foray into the entertainment field, Leena has been very supportive of his career as well as managing the family business on his behalf. The small actor, standing at roughly 5 feet 5 inches, likes fashion designing, poetry, plays and cooking. He aspires to write in the future and is an atheist who firmly believes in the power of karma. Indresh is a friendly person and shares a good rapport with his co-stars including Vivian Dsena from Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.
