Gagan Singh

Gagan Singh was raised in Canada and began his career as a multi-instrumentalist. Singh is also known to play several instruments like Piano, Synthesizers, Harmonium, Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and MIDI Keyboards. He is also well versed with Percussion instruments such as; Drum Set, Timpani, Tabla, Dhol, Djembe, Congas, and Drum Machines. Singh is an Award-winning Music Producer and Soundtrack composer. He was raised in Toronto, Canada, and studied orchestral music and contemporary musical styles like R&B, Pop, New Soul, and Electronic Music. He participated in Music for Television networks, where he closely collaborated with big brands and produced music for brands like Bell Media, CBC, CBC Radio Canada, HGTV, BBC One, BBC Asian Network, TVO Kids, Corus, and Nelvana Animation. Gagan Singh inspires young musicians by conducting events and visiting institutions for motivational speeches. Hence he was constantly invited back to his alma mater as a guest speaker at the University of Toronto. Later, he became a TEDx keynote speaker, presenting at the Ontario Centre in Canada. In 2018, he got allotted as an officer on the Board of Directors of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada.

He has been with SOCAN for nine years as an A&R Executive: Film, Television, and Visual Media, where he is strengthening his relationships with composers and influencers in Canada and around the world. Earlier, he worked with Hard Music Group, Screen Composers Guild of Canada, Songwriters Association of Canada, Development officer at The Hub at the University of Toronto Scarborough, Fusion Radio, Number 9 Audio Group, Dhol Foundation, and Indie Pool.
