Dr. Amol Kolhe was born on 18th October 1980. He is married to a doctor cum assistant professor, Dr. Ashwini Kolhe and has a daughter, Aatya Kolhe. His family includes his parents and an elder brother too. He is almost 5 feet 10 inches tall. He has a very convincing and motivating speaking strength. He recently started his political career by joining Shiv Sena, a political party in Maharashtra. He loves gymming, biking and horse riding since his college days. After finishing his 8th standard, Kolhe shifted to Pune to continue his higher schooling with his elder brother. He joined Apte Prashala and continued his chooling there till his 12th standard. Later he joined GAS College as a medical student in Mumbai.
In the meantime, he acted in small nataks associated to college for his interest in acting and met Subal Sarkar, his mentor of the Apurvai natak. Kohle was among the multi-talented, gifted students. Along with his acting skills, he had held a distinction in every semester. He earned a merit rank in SSC and HSC examinations. He was a National Talent Search Scholar too. He worked in KEM hospital after his studies.
