Devvrat was ten years old when he first started wrestling and joined ‘akhada’ at the age of fifteen. He practices four hours daily, six hours before tournaments. Devvrat’s father is an advocate as well as a wrestler. His grandfather, Chandgi Ram Ji, had won the 82 ASIARD Award, and his aunt is a national champion who has also won ‘Bharat Kesari.’ Devvrat’s maternal uncle is also a professional wrestler who has choreographed Salman Khan in his movie Sultan.
Devvrat has won several awards such as Bharat Kesari, National Award (2013), Gold Medal in All India University Championship, and four prizes in National Tournaments. But this is not the end as Devvrat aims to win a medal in the Commonwealth Games and make his country proud.
