Shashi’s father was a clerk in the district collector’s office. He did his schooling from Regional Secondary School, Madhubani. He completed his graduation from R K College, Madhubani, Bihar. He started his acting career from his school in Madhubani. After graduation, he moved to Delhi, and thence worked in several theatres.
