Ojas SV or Ojas Suniti Vijay is a theatre artist and social working activist who acts in thought-provoking theatre plays and skits, raising awareness about the atrocities taking place in our society. Born in Pune, Ojas comes from a family of social justice warriors. Her family has a large history of working with the National Alliance of People’s Movement, Anti Lavasa Movement and Narmada Bachao Andolan.
Ojas’ biggest performance of her career has been the play of Ley Mashalein. The story about Irom Chanu Sharmila, Iron Lady of Manipur. The play has been played out in over 200 locations all across India and Ojas really solidified herself as one of the best theatre actresses working in the industry right now. The story of this play follows her struggle against the implementation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act. The AFSPA act was severely abused and it had to be repealed. She is also the founder of Jing Keing Theatres, headquartered in Manipur.
