Nihar Ranjan Samal is the sound designer hailed from Odisha, India. He completed his education from Film and television institute of India, Pune. Nihar is well known for his work in the most controversial film of 2018, PADMAVAT. He also worked for the film BAJIRAO MASTANI (2015) as a sound designer. He is in the list most talented sound designers in Bollywood.
His struggle to set his name in the top, is not easy, when he decided to work in the film industry has to overcome the opposition from his family. If there are a strong will and circumstances, you will make a path, Nihar’s first original single XPLAIN with Times Music crossed 1 Million views in a very short period. Another show, Dil Hai Hindustani (star plus) was in the list of Top 10 India’s most watched shows.
He won the National Award, as the best sound designer for the life-changing film in his career, Madras Café (2013). Recently, Nihar was in limelight for his background music in the film, including MALAAL (2019), MANIKARNIKA: THE QUEEN OF JHANSI (2019), URI - THE SURGICAL STRIKE (2019).
