Udit Duseja

Udit Duseja is a famous sound designer and re-recording mixer. He is basically from Gwalior and currently resides in London, England. He has done Masters of Science in Sound Design from the University of Edinburgh. From an early age, he gained a keen interest in culture and history. He learned about Indian classical music. Later he went to Mumbai to explore his passion. He met various filmmakers. He started working as an intern and learned the art of adding sound to film to bring life to the film. Then he went to London to pursue his master's. He worked on American, British and Indian films. He has great expertise and has worked with artists all over the world in the field like narrative features, shorts, multi–channel film installations, and documentaries.

He has been working continuously to learn how sound can be used to investigate cinematic expressions and material and to seek ways to construct a fluid sonic language to present his ideas to impact viewers' subconscious narratives and to create an immersive experience. He has the honour of being a member of the BAFTA Connect and the Motion Picture Sound Editors Guild He believes that every sound which is added to a film holds a assort of self- conscious. He considers that sound has meaning and which creates a narrative for the audience. He describes sound engineering as collaboration with the director itself.

He was nominated for Star Screen Awards 2017 for Best Sound Design for Daddy, 63rdJio Filmfare Award 2108 for Best Sound Design for Movie Daddy, and Cinema Eye Honors for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design for All Light, Everywhere (2020). He has played the role of sound editor, re-recording mixer and sound designer in various projects like Naomi Osaka, Memories for the Future: scoring workshop, and All Light, everywhere.
