is an Indian film Director working in the Bollywood film industry. She has experience in media professionalism and has a passion for television and audio. She has worked for 13 years in the industry and creates compelling content and delivers engaging experiences to audiences. She has worked in Pratilipi as the Head of IP Development and the Deputy Editor for Disney Star. She did her schooling from St. Paul’s Academy in Patna. She did her graduation from Asian Academy of film and television (AAFT), NOIDA in Film and TV Production/Direction and also pursued Masters in English Literature. She was the first Newsreader of Doordarshan Madhya Pradesh for fifteen years i.e. 1992-2007 and was also crowned Miss Bhopal in 1993.
She is the first professionally qualified women Film-maker of Madhya Pradesh with a Degree in Film and TV Production Direction from the Asian Academy of Films and Television Noida in 1996. Besides she is also the first woman director of the International film festival of Tribal Art and culture i.e. IFFTAC in 2014. She is also the first woman from MP invited in the Jury of the National film awards of India in 2016 as a Jury member. She is the first woman filmmaker from her state who received an award for her non- fiction film titled ‘Dayabai -Tribal Mercy’ which is a film on a woman leader among Gond Tribals in the international women Film Festival in Delhi. She has been in the industry for 25 years and has produced numerous shows like TV programs documentaries, TV Series, Variety Entertainment shows, Telefilms, Advertisement films, etc. for Doordarshan.
Her works reached several International and national film festivals including IFFI in Goa, IDPA in Bombay, VIBGYOR in Thrissur. She received the best biographical documentary award in 2009 in the International Women’s film festival of India.
