Pratik Biswas is a self-taught sound designer with over two decades of experience in studio and sound recording. He is known for designing sounds for Aakhir (2014), Watch Over Me (2021), and Urf (2022). Pratik completed his B.A. in Political Science and Government from the University of Calcutta. Pratik has collaborated with reputed music labels like Virgin Records and contributed to the making of more than a hundred audio albums of Indian classical as well as contemporary music.
He has designed sound for many award-winning documentaries, one of which bagged him the IDPA Gold Award for documentary sound design. His self-produced documentary 'On and Off the Record' was screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. It captured the journey of Indian classical music. Apart from sound and film-making, Pratik also has an active interest in photography, sculpture, and painting.
