Rahul performed in several Bollywood movies and regional movies. His proficiency with guitar, keyboard, and the ukulele is outstanding. He graduated from Birla High School, Kolkata. Rahul completed his undergraduate studies at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. Upon graduation, he moved to Mumbai to study business management at the IIPM. He holds an MBA in marketing. After completing his MBA, Rahul worked for an MNC and then joined a production company as a Brand Manager.

In 2012, he became a full-time musician and pursued his dream of becoming a playback singer. The singer holds a performing vocalist certification from Rock School of Music, UK. He is trained in Hindustani classical music.
