is an outstanding Indian singer and actor. He is the youngest son of legendary singer Mohammed Rafi and his second wife, Bilquis Bano. He has five siblings; two brothers and three sisters. He respected and loved his father beyond the limits. He penned a book on his father with the writer Sujata Dev, titled Mohammed Rafi Voice of a Nation, published by Om Books International. It was a tribute on the 31st death anniversary of his father, released in December 2011. He also launched a music school in the name of his father named, Mohammed Rafi Academy, in Mumbai, India. The school teaches classical and contemporary music. It started on 31 July 2010 on the 30th death anniversary of his father. Shahid Rafi was blessed with a son,
