Sagnik Sen

Sagnik Sen was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, on November 18, 1986. He has sung in a large number of national and international performances of Hindi, Bangla music, and Rabindrasangeet (Songs of Tagore). Sagnik's parents also emphasized music. They shared the same passion. Sagnik inherited music and singing from his father and has been learning music since childhood. He was interested in listening to Hemanta Mukherjee’s songs and Rabindrasangeet. His schooling was at St. Joseph’s College and Sri Aurobindo Institute of Education (Kolkata), and he later continued his studies in computer science at B. P. Poddar Institute of Technology and Management.

His first music album was released in 2008 by Sagarika Music, HMV SaReGaMa, Golden Voice Entertainment, Hindusthan Records (INRECO), and Prime Music. In 2015, music director Devjit Roy allowed Sagnik to sing in one of the famous Bengali TV channels' shows “ The Legends The legends is an entertaining musical show on Aak >> Read More... ". which became a hit in an instant. Devjit then offered him more TV shows, which also gained him a lot of fame. All over the world, Sagnik’s concerts are held. In 2022, Sagnik made his first Bollywood debut in the film Monica, O My Darling, and sang the song Farsh pe khadi. The movie was released on Netflix.

Sagnik has been honored nationally as well as internationally. In May 2017, he received the Akademia Music Award from Los Angeles in the category of Best Live Performance Music Video Cover for his performance of the song Yeh Nayan Dare Dare. Sagnik’s concerts held in India were at Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Lucknow, Patna, Chennai, Indore, Banglore, Gwalior, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Assam, Orissa, etc. He has performed in almost every state of India. Sagnik enjoys painting, playing the piano, and writing poems, along with singing and composing. His paintings have also been shown in a few TV interviews and programs.
