Indian singer Shreya Basu was born in Delhi, India. She did her schooling at the Indian Public School, Dehradun. Shreya started learning music at age three from her teacher Shri Mahesh Bharti from Kirana Gharana. Her father Tarun Basu was also passionate about music which made it more accessible for Shreya to grasp music from her early years. She was placed second at Max Life Igenius Young Singing Stars from all over India. She was placed in the top 10 in 'Sona- Bharat Ki Awaz' by Fever 104 FM. Shreya placed in the top 4 in 'Voice of Delhi' NCR. She won the 'Fame of Delhi- Best Child Singer' award given by Ghazal singer Pankaj Jaswani. She also won Voice of Delhi twice in year 2013 and 2014. She became famous after her video of the song 'Mere Dholna' went viral on Instagram. Some of her well-known videos on YouTube include covers of well-known Bollywood songs like 'Tujhe Rab Dikhta Hai,' 'Ore Piya,' 'Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayi,' and 'Sajde.'
