Ishaan Tangirala

Ishaan Tangirala lives in New Jersey, USA. He has been playing Indian Classical Music since he was 4 years old. The passion and love that he showed for music forced his parents to find an appropriate teacher to encourage and guide him further. They were able to find this support in Shri Hemant Kulkarni who is trained in Gwalior and Agra Gharana Gayaki. He has been teaching music in the USA since 1998. Ishan has won several prizes due to his talent. He received 1st Prize in Crescendo Classical Competition(2015), in the under 15 categories. The Naada Shiromani(1st prize) in the Hindustani Classical Musical Competition. Ishaan was a Winner at the Academy of Indian Music and Fine Arts, Columbia, Maryland, and also at ‘Swaradhara’, a classical music competition.

 He secured the 1st Prize in the Telugu Fine Arts Society Music competition. He has a growing YouTube channel. On top of all this success, he has had the opportunity to interact with Shankar Mahadevan during the 2020 Grand Finale-Raag Miyan Ki Tod. Ishaan also had the great opportunity to sing in front of esteemed people like Raghavendra Rao, M M Keeravaani, and Sunitha in a 2-day event (August 20 & 21, 2018 ) that took place in Vijayawada. The song was telecast on SVBC Channel on Sept. 29, 2018. He is also regularly featured on the channel of ‘The Voice India Kids. Apart from singing, he has won spelling-bee competitions. He is also a part of the Gifted and Talented club in the school district and of the township soccer club.
