RJ Sukriti

RJ Sukriti is an Indian Radio Jockey. She works as an RJ in Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM’s Delhi outlet. The show is often quoted as ‘Radio Mirchi – It’s Hot.’ She is fondly known as ‘Meethi Mirchi’ which is also the name of her show. She belongs to Delhi and claims to be a ‘Dilli ki Ladki’ from the bottom of her heart. Her show is called Meethi Mirchi and is aired from Monday to Saturday, from 2 pm to 5 pm. She is the youngest RJ on the channel. Not only does she like to sit behind the blinds and let her voice reach out daily to the people of Delhi, but she also likes to go out on the streets and interview people. She has conducted a lot of ‘Social Experiments’ which she posts on her social media handles.

She also runs a YouTube channel of her own. She confesses that she is not good at singing, but that hasn’t stopped her from trying and enjoying it. Apart from singing, she loves to eat and dance. She has a degree in Engineering and also got placed in an IT firm. Her placement happened in September 2012, but her job started in January 2014. Finding herself free for a little more than a year, she thought of trying her hand in a commercial radio station. Coincidently, at the same time, Radio Mirchi started an RJ hunt, for which she applied. Unfortunately, she couldn’t win the hunt but she got an opportunity to intern. Sukriti learned a few lessons from her college which help her now as an RJ. Some of them were to gossip about anything and everything and to hold up to those few understanding friends. She has confessed that she is more than happy in her current job and loves it. However, one con of being an RJ is that one never gets a holiday, be it the weekends, the major holidays or even the New Year’s, you have to be working all the time. Her favorite RJ is the country’s heartthrob RJ Naved. He is mostly not keen on giving advice, but when he does, it’s the most significant lesson. RJ Sukriti can often be seen on the streets making fun of the current issues and asking for people’s opinions on the same.

RJ Sukriti is the youngest RJ in the Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM Channel. She considers herself lucky to be a part of a team and how her path of career changed from being an engineer to radio jockey. She is one of the most talented RJ and is also currently enhancing her career in this. She is also known as Meethi Mirchi. She is born in Delhi and currently residing there. She loved doing her job and the activities involved in it like interacting with the people on the streets or radio. Some of her hobbies are eating (like everything that is edible), dance and to sing (even though she considers herself to be a bathroom singer). After completing her graduation in engineering, she recruited in an IT Firm, but she thinks it as a blessing in disguise. The reason behind it was that she received an offer later on September 2012 and the date of joining was January 2014. Trying to do something productive on those time gaps, she decided to work on a radio station, and during that period Radio Mirchi 98.3 was hosting an RJ Hunt. Though she did not win the competition, she got a chance full-time work with  RJ Naved and interned with him in the evening show for six months. Afterward, she started working with Radio Mirchi as full-time employer.

Though she loves doing her work and she considers her workplace as a second home but, what she feels the con of being an RJ is that no matter what day is it or any festival, they are required to work every day and entertain people. She has done many social experiments on the street of Delhi, and people appreciated her effort in bring a social change and making people accept it. While interning with Radio Mirchi, she found her Favorite RJ to be RJ Naved and told in one interview that he is a very understanding mentor and Mr. Naved is the one that teaches you a life lesson without being bossy. Also, she said that when she gets into college, she understands a life lesson, how school friends are forever and stand beside you whenever you’re in need. DJ Sukriti loves being an RJ and believes that life takes unexpected turns and will take you towards your goals initially. She is in love with her job and is looking forward to continuing the same.
