Shivaji Fulsundar

Shivaji Fulsundar, born on 2nd June, is an Indian program director working mainly in the Hindi film and television industry. He comes from a farmer's background in Maharashtra. Shivaji Fulsundar attended Vadgaon-based Hindmata Vidyalaya in Pune. Shivaji graduated from the Mahatma Phule Agriculture University affiliated College of Agriculture Pune in Rahuri in Maharashtra. Shivaji Fulsundar started his career with the Doordarshan Kendra in Mumbai as a rural production officer in 1981. He has worked for several segments as an assistant and deputy director. Shivaji Fulsundar handled the market for Mumbai-based Parasar Bharati from 2006 to 2011. He served as the program head and deputy director-general for the Doordarshan Kendra, Ahmedabad in Gujarat, till 2014. During his time there, the DD Girnar channel got permission for terrestrial broadcasts in the morning. His flagship project with Doordarshan was to launch the agriculture-oriented channel Doordarshan Kisan in May 2015.

Shivaji Fulsundar was the producer of Green Gold, an environmental documentary for the South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation. The documentary got a mention at the Czechoslovakia International film festival. Shivaji Fulsundar is the recipient of several accolades for his contribution to agricultural journalism, the development of Mumbai, event production, and election awareness campaign. He also received the Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar in 2004 for his outstanding contribution to media. His work got recognized by the Election Commission of India, for which he received the national media award from the President of India in 2014. Shivaji Fulsundar received the Jeevan Gourav Puraskar 2020 for his contribution to relaying agriculture information to farmers through Doordarshan at the RCF sports club Chembur, Mumbai. Shivaji Fulsundar retired from DDK Mumbai in 2017 after an illustrious career as a deputy director-general and HOO of Doordarshan Mumbai.
