Rajesh Advani

Rajesh Advani is a proficient program director who lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He has one daughter, Drshika Advani, and his, wife Poonam Advani. Rajesh went to St. Xavier College to pursue a bachelor of Arts, Economics in 1988. He had a keen interest in journalism which drove him towards Bhavans College to pursue PG Diploma in Journalism (1992-93). To give a better edge and direction in television, he went to Gujarat University in 1992 to pursue a master's in development, communication, television, radio, and films. He completed his Master's in 1994, and the same year he landed his first job as a producer of Doordarshan- Educational Media Research Centre.

He worked in Doordarshan for more than a year and in October 1995 to become Content Development & Management (Director, Editor Zee Network) Programming In-Charge in Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited. He worked for Zee Gujarati for more than seven years, left his job in 2003 to pursue a one-year PGBRM in MICA (Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad) with expertise in Broadcasting Industry, Communication planning, and Brand management. He joined Radio Mirchi in June 2004 as a programming head where he became in charge of all the shows, RJ's, on-air sales deliverables, on-ground creatives, creative for both Atl and Btl activities along with client deliverables. The working skills of Rajesh increased the listenership of Radio Mirchi.

He left Radio Mirchi in March 2006, and soon after four months, he became Regional Programming Director, Station Head & Programming Director in Music Broadcast Private Limited (Radiocity 91.1 Fm). Rajesh joined mobile Video-MoVi for designing, packaging, and developing mobile content. He then joined Food Food, as in charge of content Planning, Execution, and Brand Solutions across the Channel. To expand his expertise in the digital industry, he joined Emeritus to pursue PG in Digital Business Transformation in collaboration with Columbia Business School and MIT.
