Artbyramana

Artbyramana is a creative art director and writer from India. He earned his bachelor’s degree in fine arts in design and applied arts from Andhra University. He was always passionate about art and during university, Artbyramana was included in activities like painting, sculpting and printmaking. Later, he joined the Zee Institute of Creative Arts (ZICA) to learn the visual tools and animation of filmmaking. Artbyramana adapted the skills of animation background, game design, storytelling and layout.

Soon, he became a senior concept artist under JadooWorks Private Limited and showcased his computer animation skills. He has served at ISKCON Bangalore as a full-time creative lead, for almost a year, and worked in Iskcon Krishna Theme Park, Mahaprabhu (a feature film in LiveAction) and another animation film, “ Little Krishna Little Krishna is a well-known children’s televisi >> Read More... .” In 2008, he joined Animation Dimensions Private Limited as an art director and creative consultant and contributed to feature films in flash animations.

Artbyramana has also worked with Prana Studios (artist-driven 3D animation and visual effects studio based in Los Angeles, USA and Mumbai, India) as an art lead and worked in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and the 3D Animation Feature Films like Cockroch, Zokkomon, Drona, Newsuem4D, Entropia, Ghuligans, Tinkerbell, Holy Cow and King Porus. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Subsequently, Artbyramana joined Motion Makers Animation Studio Private Limited as a creative art director and worked on the animation film Queen of Kubama.

Apart from that, he has worked as a Look Development & DMP artist under Dream Works Animation and contributed to several animations. Artbyramana has also collaborated with Shekar Kapur’s creative team on several animated movies. Artbyramana is the former art director of Assemblage Entertainment, Motion Makers Animation, Gaming studio, Riva Digital Interactive VR games, 19th'day Pictures (USA), Cinewerx, Reliance Animation, and Qyuki. Moreover, he was a part-time chief creative director at Metapolis and a senior art director at Pluto, and Gameshastra.

Artbyramana works in fantasy, Sci-Fi, realistic, and stylised genres on platforms like film, TV, gaming and metaverse. Ramana Artbyramana has written and directed Greedy (Fox Tale) (2018), The LandLord (2018), RockStar (2018), and Kapi (2017). But Artbyramana is specifically famous for his short film Living Idle (2017), which is about a woman’s love for her family and husband. This short film has won several national and international awards and gained immense appreciation from fans and critics.
