Karuna Samtani

Karuna Samtani is an Indian film and television producer who has spent the last quarter-century or more managing and operating satellite television networks. Over two decades, Samtani has gone from being a creative service executive at HTA to founding her own film production company. She attributes her incredible success to pure hard work and a feeling of devotion to excellence. She went to Fatima High School. She holds a bachelor's degree in arts and an MBA from Bombay University. Samtani has previously worked with Pratham Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Star TV, Pratham Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Zee Telefilms Ltd., and advertising firms such as Enterprise Nexus, Hindustan Thompson, Ambience Advertising and Contract. The transponder contract was made in April 1992, and the television channel appeared on the air on October 1st, she claimed, adding that she was the first employee recruited by Zee.  She has successfully launched and managed Zee TV, El TV, and Siti cable.

Banegi Apni Baat, Antakshri, Campus, Philips Top 10, Tara, Hasratein, Zee Horror Show, Hum Paanch, TVS SaReGaMaPa, Amanat, and Purush Shetra are among the series she has created. She was the person who concocted the thought for the flagship channel. Ensured that Zee TV will start with certain library content, providing a shift away from Doordarshan's higher-budget programming. She generally worked with first-time producers and assisted in the making of events. Karuna Samtani has been named chief operating officer of SaharaOne Television, the company's television division.

Sahara India has merged its motion picture, radio, television, and unique identity businesses into a single company known as Sahara One. Karuna oversaw transforming Sahara Manoranjan into Sahara One. This was a significant shift in the channel's business and programming approach. Rather than film stars, the focus was on basic programming and material. Writing poetry and understanding human psychology are two of her other passions. Samtani is poised to scale greater heights in cinema after a lengthy and successful tenure on television, for which she has created "Karuna Samtani Productions," a feature picture production business.
