In the year 2009, Basant produced a horror short film ‘The Dark Room’ which was written and directed by Shivan and Arumugaswamy, Thierry Vincent. It is a tale of a policeman who gets killed in 26/11 terrorist attacks, and comes back to haunt the photographer who has saved his life.
