Anushka Shivdasani Roveshen is a director, producer, and teacher. She is also the founder of Running Cow Films. She has completed her Bachelor in Psychology from St. Xaviers College. She is also a diploma holder in social communications and media from Sophia Polytechnic. She did her masters in film and video at the Art Institute of Chicago. She is best known for films like Unite Against Hunger, #FromU2them, etc.
She started her career as an assistant director and worked at Dungarpur Films in 2002. She continued as director for almost nine years. In 2008, she worked as a line producer at Dungarpur Films. She opened her production company, Running Cows Films, in 2011. The company bridges the gap between a wide range of film styles. She has also shot for several brands, which include Mumbai Indians, Reliance, HP Printers, Tata Tea, etc.
She has also received a Gelman Grant for her thesis film, Perhaps. After receiving the grant, she made another short film called Us Paar. Both films were featured at international festivals. She has also been invited as a guest lecturer in documentary-making at Sophia Polytechnic College. She has over 15 years of experience and has worked on several documentaries, documentary content, TV commercials, etc. She is not only praised for being a great mom but also for her brilliant filmmaking skills.
