Alakananda Nag is a well-known author cum producer in India. She completed her graduation in English literature from Sophia College. After this, she did her documentary and photojournalism at the International Center of Photography. Alakananda has done many commercials for popular brands like Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Asian Paints, Nokia, Godrej, Unilever, and Proctor & Gamble from 2005 to 2009. In 2010, Alakananda produced a movie named The Japanese Wife; everyone critically appreciated it. Because of her exceptional work, Alakananda has won several awards, such as Cannes Lion 2010 for the TV Spot LJ Collective for BBDO India and Hubert Bals Fund awards from the Rotterdam Film Festival. Apart from these prestigious awards, she got a scholarship from the Bilder Nordic School of Photography for a workshop with Magnum Photographer Abbas.
