Altaf Raja is a Qawwali singer from India. He was born on 15 October 1967 at Nagpur in Maharashtra, India. He made his debut as a singer in 1994 through an album called “Tum to Thehre Pardesi” whose 4 million units got sold. Altaf belongs to a family of professional Qawwals, where he started learning music from the age of 15. He does the nasal style of singing. Altaf appeared as an actor in Shapath (1997), Mother (1999), Ghanchakkar (2013), and Yamraaj (1998). Raja has made various albums like Tum to Thehre Pardesi (1994), Mujhe Apna Bana Lo (1999), Dil Ke Tukde Hazaar Huye (2000), Altaf and Adnan Ek Saath (2001), Tere Ishq Ne Maalalmaal Kiya (20006), Chalo Maikhane Chalo (2009), Bum Gola (2015), and etc.
Altaf has composed music for Dukaan: Pila House, and Market in the year 2004, and 2003 respectively. Raja got highly appreciated as a playback singer. He sang for films like, Dil Lagana (2015), Madholal: Keep Walking (2010), Market (2003), Mother (1999), Pardesi Babu (1998), Hayo Rabba Pyar Ho Gya (1998), Hum Hain Aise Chore (1998), Ishq Aur Pyar Ka Maza Lijiye (1997), Harjai (2007), Keemat: They Are Back (1998), Toonpur ka Superhero (2010), Tumse Kitna (2002), Peelo Ishq Di Whisky (1998), and Tamasha (2015). Alfan is well known for his first album Tum To Thehre Pardesi.
