Sugandhi Gadadhar is a wildlife photographer and filmmaker. She documents wildlife and conservation films for NGOs in India and the Karnataka Forest Department. She works as a freelance cameraperson for several production companies, and her work has also been telecast on Animal Planet India, Love Nature, and Netflix. She obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University. She has also worked with the National Geographic Society, where she documented the Out Of Eden Walk and Sea to Source: Ganges expeditions. She uses the power of storytelling and visual communication to convey the message of conservation and co-existence to people.
She has worked extensively in rural areas, where she has interacted with villagers, grassroots conservationists, and scientists. She makes her films in local languages. These films are shown in schools, local villages, and interpretation centers, providing villagers with a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding wildlife and the need for co-existence. Being an explorer of National Geographic, she works on many such issues, which are also for the welfare of the people. One of her short films, Wings & Wetlands (2020), was awarded in the Non-Commercial Category by the Festival Award.
