Kumkum Binwal was born on 26 October in Uttarakhand. He completed his schooling at Beersheba Higher Secondary School, Haldwani, Uttarakhand. She received his college degree from Amrapali Computer Management and Applications Institute and his master's degree in mass communication from Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
She joined News24 when she was an intern. After this, he started his career as a presenter on Focus TV in 2009. She has worked as an anchor in many news channels like Aaj Tak, ABP News, TV Today Network, India News, Total TV, etc. In 2020, she also won an award in the Best News Video category at the ENBA Awards.
