Vardan Singh

Vardan Singh is a playback singer and music composer of Indian music industry. He is well-known for his very famous song ‘Kabhi Yun Bhi’ from the movie ‘Ishq Junoon. His genuine voice and original music, has got immense admiration from the music industry experts.

Vardan Singh was born on 19th May 1983 in Jaunpur district of the state, Uttar Pradesh and raised up in the capital city, Lucknow. He belongs to a business family. He did his schooling in Lucknow. After that, he pursued his graduation from Lucknow University.

Although Vardan always had an inclination towards music, it was difficult for him to opt it for his career. He had no such family background in the music industry. Moreover, his paternal uncle, Mr. D.P. Singh, who was then a well-known and respected judge of the city, wanted Vardan to look forward to judicial services.

But it was his passion that he finally decided to step into the music world. He took classical training from late Pandit Ganesh Prasad Mishra. Pandit Ji was the treasure of musical prowess and he had also been the first Vice-Chancellor of Bhatkhande University. After becoming the savvy of classical music, Vardan was all set to make his move to the city of dreams, Mumbai, with the blessings of family.

Vardan had come to Mumbai to become a singer but very soon he realized that in order to establish himself as a singer he shall have to stick around to the industry with any kind of work so he started as a background vocalist and dubbing singer for South Indian movies.

He has done dubbing for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam songs in the Hindi language. He has also sung jingles for many advertisements. During this period he has got all the support from Mr. Sanjay Chaudhary (Son of late Salil Chaudhary).

Hansal Mehta was the first person who recognized Vardan's talent and made him sing a song in his movie ‘Anjaan' (2005). After that Vardan also gave his voice to the title track, ‘Sikkon ki bhookh' , of the movie ‘Rann' (2010) starring Amitabh Bachchan.

He was hugely acclaimed by the critics for this song. Apart from all these successes, Vardan has got what he really deserved from the song ‘Kabhi Yun Bhi’ from the movie ‘Ishq Junoon’ which was released on 11th November 2016. The song has earned tremendous response within the three days of its YouTube and other digital releases.

It was the first time when a song that has not been released on television, has amassed such immense fame and left its mark on the audience. This proves that Vardan's struggle for decades has brought out his impeccable talent and he is constantly heading towards the road of his ambitions.
