Manohar Lal Sonik

Manohar Lal Sonik, also known as "Master Sonik of Bollywood" was born on 26th November 1923 in the Sailkot district of Punjab, Pakistan. Manohar Lal Sonik came to Bombay in 1948 to be a singer. Manohar used to sing songs under the name ML Sonik. Sonik started singing under the direction of music directors such as Naushad, Husanlal Bhagatram, and Shyam Sunder.

Manoharlal Sonik was visually handicapped but that did not hinder his passion, still, he achieved a lot in music direction with his nephew Om Prakash Sonik, nicknamed "Omi".
