Keba Jeremiah

In India, people only follow either Bollywood superstars or cricketers and also some singers, if they are lucky, come close to achieve that status. But a few remember the artists who play instruments. Keba Jeremiah is one such name. His full name is Keba Jeremiah Arul. He celebrates his birthday on every eighteenth of October. He was born in Karama, Dubai. Keba is a guitarist who has worked on songs belonging to Hindi, Tamil and other regional languages of India.

Genres like Contemporary R&B, acoustic styles, rock, and jazz has influenced him. By the time he turned seven, he started playing guitar. His parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in a good guitar class. He first took lessons of acoustic guitar and then gradually learned how to play drums and keyboard.

His two brothers also accompanied him. By the age of ten, he would perform at Christian events and programs at church. He went to Our Own English High School and was part of his school's band. While he gave time to Our Own English High School, the group became immensely popular and won several competitions at the inter-school level. In 2004, he came to India to pursue a degree in engineering at the Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai.

In India too, he would perform at churches. Leading artists in Chennai were inspired by him. He and his college friends formed a band named as Fire Frenzy and they would spend a lot of time experimenting and jamming together. Within a year of his shifting to India, he became a music teacher at the John Satya's Institute of Music Technology, Chennai. It became a huge success and thus began his professional journey. Since then he has collaborated with several Indian and international artists like Manikanth Kadri, Naresh Iyer, Yuvan Shankar Raja, A. R. Rahman, Sean Michael, Don Moen, Anirudh Ravichander and much more. Keba has also worked with the creator of reality shows Ooh La La, Airtel Super Singer, and Kadhal Unplugged. Currently, he is busy being part of RIJK, a music band and is working on his album. He performs live shows all over the world. His favorite musicians are Michael W. Smith, Dave Matthews Band, Jeremy Camp, Lincoln Brewster and much more.
