J P Kaushik was a Hindi music director who was born in the year 1924. He composes music predominantly for Hindi movies and also for films in languages such as Haryavani and Rajasthani. Some of his compositions in Hindi include movies like Shehar Aur Sapna, Hamara Ghar, Aasman Mahal, Bambai Raat Ki Bahon Mein, and Saat Hindustani all of which was directed by K A Abbas.
Few of the other movies in which he was the music director include Dhamaka, Sister, Basti Aur Bazar, Saanjhi, etc. His compositions in Haryavani language include Bahurani, Dhan Paraya, Panghat, Phool Badan, etc. Kaushik has also composed music for a few TV shows and documentaries. He died on the 14th of March 2017.
