Suman Sharma is an Indian music composer. She worked in Hindi film Industry. When she was 10, she started learning sitar, and soon, she started playing in music festivals and start winning awards. Ms. Kamlesh Mathur and Sh. Balwant Rai Verma helped her to grow her talent. She completed her music and economics as an undergraduate course and did M.A in economics; she decided to fully dedicate herself to the music. From the University of Delhi, India, she joined the master's program in music and completed her doctorate under the guidance of Pandit Debu Chaudhari, who is a world-class sitar maestro.

The government of India also awarded her a fellowship from University Grants Commission. She also has knowledge in vocal music and holds Sangeet Visharad. She also showcases her talent in the Indian classical arena in the United States from 1998. Dr. Suman performed in many venues like Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland. She's also a passionate promoter of Indian classical music, especially in sitar. Suman has given many demonstrations, views, and Indian music seminars in many universities and colleges. She also takes participate in the Washington music festival, and she also performed in Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC.

Dr. Suman recorded many solo albums and also had collaborated with other artists. Monsoon, Melody of Sitar, Sitar Saurabh, My Sitar are four of her most popular collections. She had also written books like My Favourite, Know Indian Songs. Suman is also a  renowned sitar teacher in DC, Virginia, and Maryland. She is living in Herndon, Virginia.
