Hindi Movie Actress Vani Tripathi

Vani Tripathi is former Hindi actress and now a National Secretary of the BJP. She is currently a Jury panel of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) being held in Goa. Earlier, she had been working as in the steering committee of IFFI for three and a half months. Currently, she had given the green signal for the screening of a third Sanskrit feature film ‘Priyamanasam' in the Indian Panorama section of the IFFI being held in Goa, which raised controversy. Last year, as a steering committee member of IFFI, she announced that film festival would pay a special tribute to British filmmaker Richard Attenborough, who is best known for his Academy-award winning movie 'Gandhi.' Vani is also now the CBFC board member (Central Board of Film Certification). Earlier this year, Pankaj Nihalani, brother of Govind Nihalani, became the chairperson of CBFC. Vani being now a BJP loyalist holds important portfolios connected with Information and Broadcasting ministry. Earlier, this actress made her debut in Hindi film ‘Dushman” which had Kajol in the main cast.
