Sumbul Iqbal

Sumbul Iqbal is an actress and a Pakistani Model. She was born on 30th August 1990 in Karachi, Sindh. She is known for her performance in the television series Raju Rocket, Meray Khwab Raiza Raiza and much more. Sumbul stepped into the television cinema when she was nineteen years old. She began her career with the show named Do Saal Baad. The show was a Mystery series and Sumbul was recognized for her work in the show. She appeared in many Pakistani television series which includes Dil-e-Abad, Rait Aur Angan. She has also worked in many plays. Some of her notable works as a theater artist were in the play Bhaag-Bhaari Neeli Chatri and Babu Jee Dheere Chalna. Babu Jee Dheere Chalna was a Drama series which was aired on GeoTV. Sumbul’s first successful show was Dulha – Eid Special. The show was aired on Hum TV. The show received mixed reviews but turned out to be a turning point for Sumbul. After that, she appeared in a lot of television show. She appeared in some shows as a guest.

She did a guest appearance in Banna Mera Bara Anmol - Eid Special, Haseena Man Jayegi Eid Special, Dunbay Ki Takkar Par – Eid Special. All of these shows were aired on Hum TV. After that, she appeared in a lead role in the series named Dil-e-Abad. Dil-e-Abad was a Pakistani television series and was based on the stories of three families. The show was a hit and the Sumbul’s work in the show was appreciated by every critic. Soon she was offered roles from other television series as well. She later appeared in a lot of television series namely Buri Aurat, Morr Us Galli Ka, Roag, My Dear Sautan, Sabz Qadam and many more. The show that took her to new heights was Hawa, Rait or Angan. The show was produced by Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV).

The show was a huge success and made Sumbul the star of Pakistani Television Cinema. After that, she starred in many televisions series like Kis Din Mera Vijay Howay Ga, Raju Rocket, Teri Berukhi, Rukhsar, etc. She portrayed the role of Mariam in the television series Shab-e-Zindagi. She also appeared in Mere Khuda, in which she played the role of Tania. She even won the Best Actress Award in Hum Awards 2013 for her performance in the series Raju Rocket.
