Saniya Pannu was born on October 18 , into a Punjabi family to father Tirath Singh Pannu and mother Gursharanjeet Kaur. She completed her education at St.Mary, Amritsar, and resides in Mohali, Punjab. She had a strong interest in performing since she was young so she took part in cultural events. Later, she joined Punjabi Naatshala, Amritsar. When she was sixteen she appeared in the Punjabi song album. She worked in songs including Wang Tut Gayi- Surjeet Bhullar, Gora Rang – Amr Arshi and Seeti – Geeta Zaildar.
She debuted in Mehndi Wale Hath as her first Punjabi film in 2006 and did many movies including Jijaji AND Kaun dilaan diyan jaane. Later, she enrolled in an acting school in Delhi to improve her acting skills. She appeared in many Punjabi programs. She was a hit in Hindi serials like – Aahat and Piya ka Ghar Pyara Lage. She took a two-year break from the industry. She was in the Bollywood film Ek Kahani Julie Ki in 2016. Later, she went to Mumbai. She is an actress in commercials.
