Pritam Kagne

An assistant audiologist and speech therapist turned actress Pritam Kagne born on 29 August, 1988 (Virgo), had never thought of entering into acting, it went accidentally in her life.

Pritam in her early years used to look her uncle (a known South actor) shooting for a movie that persuades her to choose acting as her career. She had a good family support.Her mother Sulekha Kagne and the father Laxman Kagne had also been associated with the film background. She had completed the course of audiology from Pune and also worked as a speech therapist in one of the well-known hospitals. However, three years back, she got a chance to work in a Marathi movie ‘Bokad.’

In 2013 she got her first Marathi movie called Navra Mjha Bhavra for which she won the nomination at ZEE TALKIES COMEDY AWARD. She got huge success in M-town. As a result, she worked hard to maintain her image as a skilled actress in the industry. Simultaneously, she also made her debut on the Marathi stage with a comedy play called Ajab Lagnachi Gajabghosta for she won the best actress award for her performance. She is known for her excellent acting skills in the movie like Halal (a feature film produced by her brother Anmol Kagne) which was screened at the 69th Cannes Film Festival, 47th IFFI, Goa Film Festival and 14th Pune International Film Festival. Pritam Kagne also got nominated for Sahyadri Cine Awards 2016 for The Best Actresses for her exceptional performance.
