Naina Das( Naina Dash) is an Ollywood actress who acts in Odia films and even in regional TV series. She had appeared in a Telugu film as well in the south. She rose to prominence with her role as a doctor in an Odia film ‘Puja Pain Phulatie’. In this movie, she had given a brilliant performance of a middle-class society lady who plays the role of Dr. Mohapatro.

This film bagged National and State award and was a success in the box office. She had begun working in glamor world when she was in 12th standard. She was a TV host for a reality show ‘ Prathama Swara Prathama Swara is a devotional music reality show >> Read More... ’ on OTV. That is how she made her debut in glamor world. She was spotted as a glamor girl in this show that was a huge success. Soon, she was offered to work in mega TV serials, and she got a chance to act in Raju Mishra’s TV series ‘Duhita’ and got the best-supporting-actress award. Later, she became a role model for many youths who appreciated her for portraying the rebellious character that had a protagonist angle. Naina’s TV anchoring in reality show had paved the way for many female TV anchors to host reality shows in the future in Odia TVs. Despite her success in TV series, she hosted more dance and song reality shows in TV. Later she acted in selective TV serials and composed video albums and even appeared in selective movies too. Naina Das resembled ‘girl- next-door’ image in many TV series.

Initially, she hesitated to accept movie offers.  But later she agreed to act in Bengali, Odia, Telugu and even Chattisgarhi movies too. She made her debut in films with an Oriya film ‘ Maa Mangala’ (2002). She is a recipient of best anchor award in the state of Orissa (ETV Oriya) in 2005 and even won best film actress in 2004 at the state-level.

The actress holds MBA degree along with a post-graduate in PR and advertising. She loves to carry books even while she goes for outdoor shootings. Bengali Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee had appreciated her for the spontaneous performance. She would like to feature in Oriya movies and would like to experiment her roles in Odisha only. She is open to offers from other regional movies too.
