Kainaaz Pervees is a Non-Resident Indian film and television actress. She is a Canadian resident, who initially worked as a private investigator before she shifted to India to enter the film industry. Kainaaz started her career on television in Shobhana Desai Productions’ Babul Ki Duwayen Leti Jaa on Zee TV channel, where she played the role of Renu, a rebellious college girl. Kainaaz also acted on SABe TV’s crime television series, Dial 100, which was produced by actor,
Deepak Tijori and took part in the detective series, CID on Sony Entertainment Television. She also acted in the drama series, Paalkhi on Zee TV channel.
In 2004, she played a small role as Bhoomika Chawla’s friend in Atul Agnihotri’s Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa. She made her debut in Bollywood in year 2005 through Deepak Tijori’s Khamoshh…Khauff Ki Raat. Kainaaz was also seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s Bollywood comedy film,
Mr Ya Miss in the same year. She is also part of Shyam Ramsay’s Hindi horror film, Ghutan in 2007. Kainaaz was said to be part of
Jai Prakash’ Sauda – The Deal and Rajgopalan’s Boys and Girls.
She has done music videos and the remix, Yeh Din Toh Aata Hai, made her become an item girl. She worked in the music video of Bonnie 7 Remix album, where she was seen doing Arabic and Indian dance. The video was helmed by
Anant Mahadevan while the album was released by T-Series. She was also featured in Harry’s Bonfire Party and Come to the Dance Floor (which included songs from the film Mahaan). Besides acting and doing music videos, Kainaaz is also into producing films and television serial.
Kainaaz has been into controversies in the past years. A culprit made her a fake Yahoo account and posted her photos from which she was introduced as a high-class call girl. She filed a case against the person behind the issue, from which she said is also a part of the film industry. Earlier, she got involved in a war of words with her co-star in Khamosh,
Rakhi Sawant, as they both objected to do passionate scenes in the film.
