Dipti Mehta is a born Indian actress, who, after completing studies, got her first job as a radio jockey in All India Radio and with FM section of Mumbai. She has been active in stage plays during her college days even. She is highly qualified film personality who has a bachelor and master degree and even completed her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona before stepping into cine world. She is also a qualified classical dancer in Bharatanatayam and Kathak. Dipti also appeared in a number of TV shows and even Bollywood films.

TV shows often become well-known for the actors who star in them. Zee Next’s is an example where Dipti performed the fashion designer role as Anjali, which bagged her a few more assignments as TV Host for many programmes. After bagging some TV programmes as a host, she bagged an universal role in Life Camera Action directed by which fetched her international acclaim. After Life Camera Action’s success, she will be soon seen in another Rohit Gupta’s production film, Midnight Delight, which is under co-production. Life Camera Action received critical acclaim worldwide. The film was invited at various international film festivals and received multiple awards. This New York born Indian actress won her first international award as best actress for her performance in the highly praised internationally acclaimed film Life Camera Action at the 29th Goldie Film Festival in Florida and she was in the front page story in many international magazines.

She began her film career as a cameo actor in Hindi cinema and then turned to a leading actress role in short films such as Penumbra that was screened at short film corner - Cannes film festival in 2012.

She also writes plays, one of her play Grahan which she wrote won her best script awards at a theater competition, Astitva 2004- Mumbai. Acting and writing are not so different. Both require discipline, facility with language. She is one among the few actors, who have taken on the literary arena.

She has disciplined herself in the field of action, but within writing as well. She is covered almost every branch of writing and still managed to maintain a solid, funny grip in acting, as she had proclaimed once that she dreamt of being an actor since she was pretty young.
