Padma Damodaran

Padma Damodaran is a theatre artist who had been in the industry with a solid experience of more than 15 years. She featured in Star Plus' show Ishqbaaaz. Padma Damodaran performed in the plays, including 'Chuhal,' 'Jhoom Jhumpa,' 'Menghaobi: The Fair One,' 'Qissebaazi', and 'The Unexpected Man.' She also worked in An Unexpected Man', written by French dramatist Yasmina Reza. It is the second full-length play by Padma. She had also directed Shivan Sharma's 'Given' for the Writers' Bloc Festival. Padma was nominated for the Best Actress, a couple of times. In 2008 and 2013 she was nominated for the awards at the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards for her performances in Rumi: Unveil the Sun and So Many Socks, respectively. Padma helps the students in gaining confidence while playing on the stage and before the camera. Rigorous training is given to the students to hone up their acting skills at the Drama School. Padma, who finds solace in acting and directing had been a business journalist, before her theatre entry.
