Arrmaan Ralhan

Arrmaan Ralhan is an actor whose most visible work is in the movie Befikre (2016) starring alongside to Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. The fresh new face of the Yash Raj Films banner acted in the film that was shot over a very short period of 50 days in Mumbai and Paris. Arrmaan’s first film was supposed to release way before this. Unfortunately, it got shelved. He considers it to be nothing less than a learning experience. He does not belong to the film circle; however, he is not a complete outsider either. Never being exposed to the world of movies before and he was exposed to his world through, his grandfather O.P. Ralhan, who was a director and writer. So, people don’t draw any comparisons between him and any of his close relatives. But, talking about legacies, he does feel a responsibility to carry his grandfather’s legacy forward. At quite an early age, he had decided what he wanted to be a director. Later, he went to the New York Film Academy, to learn direction. In a deciding incident in his career, one of his friends asked him to act in place of an actor who canceled. The film was a short play about a suicidal guy, focusing on his creepy negative and dark head space. Strangely, this gave him a new high, and he decided to do nothing but acting. For the budding actor, it all began as he started auditioning for Shanoo Sharma. One day, she called and told him to come to an audition dressed like a banker and that she is going to interview him. There he did a few scenes. Amongst which, there was a scene from the Shahrukh-Kajol starrer movie Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Then finally, Arrmaan met Aditya Chopra, who auditioned him again for about a month or so before he finally got the film. The actor does not play any favorites when it comes to taking inspirations. He is fond of almost all the big names in the industry i.e. names that have created a huge impact the Indian film industry, like Big B aka Amitabh Bachchan , Robin Hood Khan (Salman Khan), the king of romance (Shah Rukh Khan) and Mr. Perfectionist (Aamir Khan). For this rising star he worked on developing his acting skills, he attended Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares. He has completed many workshops under the supervision of Neeraj Kabi and director Mukesh Chabbari. The young actor started off his career with a promising performance in his debut film Befikre. Last but not the least the new face of YRF tends to have loads of potential in him and let’s hope for a bright future for the upcoming star.
