Raaj Kumar was a Bollywood actor. He worked as sub-inspector before joining Bollywood. He was born on 8 October 1926 in Loralai, Balochistan, Pakistan, and his birth name was Kulbhushan Pandit. The name of Janni also knew him. He married an Air hostess named Jennifer, an Anglo-Indian. The couple had three children together sons Puru Raajkumar (a Bollywood actor), Panini Raajkumar and daughter Vastavikta Raajkumar, a Bollywood actress.
He made his debut with movie Rangeeli in 1952. Nausherwan-E-Adil and Oscar-nominated Mother India, both released in 1957, were the movies that brought him fame. He has spent four decades in Bollywood and from Rangeeli to God & Gun; he has acted in over 70 movies.
Paigham, Waqt, Saudagar, Heer Raanjha, Lal Patthar, Pakeezah and Dil Ek Mandir are few of the movies he has worked in. For his role in Dil Ek Mandir, Kumar won the Filmfare Award in the best supporting actor category. He is famous for his unique style of dialogue delivery. Raaj Kumar died on 3 July 1996, at the age of 69 because of throat cancer.
