Makarand Anaspure is an actor who works majorly in Indian Marathi cinema. He is famous for his comic timing in the roles that he plays. He usually portrays either comedy or intelligent characters. He was born on 22nd July 1973 in the city of Pune in Maharashtra. He completed college from Saraswati Bhuvan College in Aurangabad.

His initial days in this career were in the spotlight due to his proficiency and expertise in the Marathwada accent of the Marathi language which continues to be among his most desired and appreciated specialties.

He rose to fame after his roles in Saatchya Aat Gharat and Kaydyacha Bola. He has appeared in numerous Marathi films beginning in the year 1997 when the movie Sarkarnama release. In the 2000’s he worked in Saatchya Aat Gharat and Savarkhed: Ek Gaav in 2004, Kay Dyache Bola in 2005, Khabardar, Shubhamangal Savadhan, Nana Mama and Bagh haat dakhvun in 2006. He was part of the movies Zabardast, Tula Shikwin Chaanglach Dhada, Are Deva, Jau Tithe Khau, and Gadhvache Lagna in the year 2007.

Further, he appeared in Uladhal and Full 3 Dhamaal in 2008, Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy, Gallit Gondhal Dillit Mujra and Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi in 2009, Tukya Tukvila Nagya Nachvila in 2010. HE contributed in Teen Bayka Fajeti Aika and, Mala Ek Chanas Hava in 2012, Gadya Aapla Gaon Bara and We are on - Houn jau dya in 2013 and many more. In the domain of Hindi movies, he has acted in Hello Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain and My Friend Ganesha 3 in 2010, Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye in 2003, Jis Desh Mei Ganga Rehti Hai in 2000, Vaastav: The Reality in 1999 and Wajood in 1998.

He hosted the second season of the Marathi show called Hapta Band and Changbhal. He was a judge in the show, Fu Bai Fu. He acted in Marathi television serials likeShejaar, Tisra Dola, Gangubai Non-Matric, Bedhund Manachya Lahari, Aamcha Sakhe Aamhich, Comedy chi- Bullet Train, etc. He has produced Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi and Gallit Gondhal Dillit Mujara in 2009.

He directed Dambis in the year 2011 and also worked as a second unit director on the project Yeshwant in 1997. In the year 2015, He laid the foundation for an organization called the Naam Foundation which helps the Maharashtra farmers overcome drought situations.
